Know More About Me
My name is Joel Esteva, and I need a kidney transplant to live a longer, healthier life. If you’ve found your way here, thank you. Your kindness and generosity can change my life and the lives of those I love.
I’ve been blessed with a loving wife of 28 years, and our amazing 24-year-old son. We also share our home with Kona, our playful chiweenie. Despite my health struggles, I cherish every moment with them and dream of being here to see my son build his own family someday. Living with chronic kidney disease (CKD) has been physically and emotionally challenging, but I face this journey with hope and faith.
My diagnosis began years ago with undiagnosed Hypertension, and despite my efforts to stay healthy, my kidney function has declined. I am now in urgent need of a living kidney donor.
I’m passionate about food, music, and spending time with family and friends. I love hiking, tennis, pickleball, and singing as a tenor in my parish choir. My faith is my foundation, and it gives me the strength to keep going.
Your kindness and generosity could save my life and allow me to continue sharing these precious moments with my family.
I’m registered at the National Kidney Registry. If you’d like to take the next step and get to know me personally and my journey through chronic kidney disease, click the button below to visit my national kidney registration microsite.
